Echoes Beneath the Skin

For centuries the creature has wandered unseen, drawn to the quiet suffering of the living. It feeds not on flesh, but on grief — the kind that people bury deep inside themselves and pretend no longer exists. Each sorrow it consumes leaves a mark, stretching its face and hollowing its eyes until its form barely resembles what it once was. The dark streaks that fall from its eyes are the memories it could not fully swallow. Though it appears monstrous, it was never meant to harm anyone. It simply carries the weight of every pain the world refused to face.

  1. Another fantastic entry! It’s amazing how you can pick up an ordinary pencil, and works like this just flow from the tip. My hat’s off to you, young man. This is an awesome talent to have!

  2. Brian, I’m a huge fan of your artwork. You’re incredibly talented. I love how you turn words and sentences into drawings, it’s phenomenal. I also admire how your work explores those darker places we all carry inside us. Thanks for sharing.
