London Dead

Book Announcement

Today, I wanted to take this opportunity to make an official announcement about an upcoming book release that I’m beyond excited about. I’m excited, of course, because I’m referring to my own debut novel.

This is a project I’ve been working on for more than twelve years now. Yes, twelve years of my life, and this ambitious novel of mine has seen so many iterations, my early beta readers won’t even recognize it in its current incarnation.

London is rotting.

Fresh from war and shattered by his father’s sudden death, Jonathan Grimmer is pulled back into a city choking on fog, grief, and secrets better left buried. When whispers of forbidden experiments, clockwork monstrosities, and shadowy figures surface, it becomes clear his father may have known far more about London’s decay than anyone realized.

As bodies pile up and the line between man and machine begins to blur, Jonathan is forced into uneasy alliances and dangerous truths that threaten to unravel the city itself. In a London powered by innovation and crawling with the dead, survival means confronting what has been resurrected—and what should have stayed buried.

London Dead is a gothic steampunk horror steeped in blood, gears, and gaslight, where progress comes at a terrible cost and the past refuses to stay dead.

Release TBD

I also have two editors to thank, as this novel has gone through several iterations: Andrea Stafford Hintz and Callie Stoker. Both editors truly helped me sharpen my prose, and I am so proud of the novel I’ve written as it stands.

Stay tuned for more info and updates throughout the coming weeks. I’ll be sharing more updates here.

For now, let me leave you with some vibes.

  1. Brilliant, good sir, very well done! Having read Bryce before in the aforementioned Scribblers’ Den and in several anthologies, I can assure anyone that his meticulous attention to detail makes for an interesting and engaging read. If the subject attracts you at all, this will become your favorite book!
