Carpenter's Square - This very traditional Carpenter's Square give the appearance of strips of fabric weaving in and out in the blocks. With a closer look there are two different blocks that you will be making. Finished size of this quilt is 75" x 75"
Teacher: Lawry Thorn

"Snippets" Trash to Treasure Trove - You'll create unique, one of a kind fabrics using bits and pieces of leftover or recycled fabrics, trims and fibers in this class. Learn how to "mix it up" to create interest and texture while producing a useable, sturdy surface suitable to a myriad of future projects. Experiment with planned randomness, exotic combinations, and sophisticated to homespun color ways. Playful experimentation is encouraged and applauded!  Warning: Making "Snippets" is delightfully addictive! You may never throw away another scrap of fabric again. You will leave with a completed piece of yardage and ideas for using your new fabric in various projects.
Teacher: Barbara Matthiessen

Etui (French Sewing Box) -This project is based on an antique French six-sided sewing box. When the lid is removed and the cord untied, the sides fold down to reveal a pincushion, pockets for sewing supplies, memorabilia and artwork. You will use fabric to cover the base material and lid and learn techniques for adding personal embellishments, stitchery and beading. We will have several samples on hand to illustrate different themes and styles.
(Pattern included.)
Teacher: Chris Malone

Artful Fabric Book - Learn a basic binding method for assembling a fabric book that you will stitch and embellish around a personal theme and style. We will cover many embellishment techniques for the pages and cover, including image transfers to fabric, beading, unusual and dimensional appliqués and ways to add words to fabric, as well as different methods of finishing the edges and adding unique closures.  We will have several books on hand for inspiration.
